How Should Mosque Carpets Be Cleaned?

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE;

Gentle weekly vacuuming will prolong the life of your investment. Three types of vacuum cleaners are available: flat suction, drum, rotating brush strip.

All of these are effective in regular cleaning, especially on carpets with dense air pile. For loop pile carpets, only use a suction vacuum cleaner. Annual or biannual cleaning protects and improves upholstery fabrics and carpets. Call an expert cleaner or if you want to do the cleaning yourself, use the cleaning systems of famous brands designed for wool carpets and upholstery fabrics and carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions for use. There are 4 types of cleaning systems commonly used for wool carpets: Wet shampoo, absorbent powder, aerosol foam shampoo and spray spray (steam cleaning). Whichever system you decide on, start by testing the suitability of the cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of the carpet first.

Never use soap, ammonia, bleach or other cleaners produced for use on solid surfaces; they can leave residues on the pile, which will accelerate further contamination. Do not over-wet the carpet.

Remove stains;

If something spills or falls, the golden rule of thumb is to clean it up immediately. Many stains will disappear with immediate intervention. For this reason, keep all cleaning agents together so that you can easily access them. First, remove excess liquid with a paper towel or cloth and remove solids with a knife or spoon. Most stains can be cleaned with one of three cleaning fluids – clean water, carpet/upholstery shampoo, or dry cleaning fluid. Use the cleaning method shown in the table. Always work from the edge of the stain to the inside.

Use small amounts of cleaning fluid at a time and dry between applications to remove any dirty solution. Continue until the stain is gone. Remove as much moisture as possible with a white paper towel or napkin. Do not walk on the carpet until it is completely dry. Never panic or rush; work patiently and resist the feeling of heavy scrubbing as you can distort the surface or pile or leave your own trail. If the stain is not removed, seek expert help from a recognized upholstery or carpet cleaning company.

ATTENTION:
Dry cleaning fluids can be toxic or flammable; Follow the manufacturer's safety recommendations.
